Why use a consultant?
Why use a Consultant? Because studio and Independent producers use consultants. Because established writers use consultants.
Having friends and family read your screenplay is fun, but not very productive. It takes a professional to determine if your screenplay is viable. It takes someone with years of experience to find the weaknesses and show you how to "fix" your screenplay to give it the best chance in the marketplace.
Most of all, it takes someone who can be objective -- who won't be afraid to tell you the truth, and someone who isn't afraid of working with you until the job is done.
I am not a "cut and run" consultant; I'm in it for the long haul. Once the critique is finished, I do not pack up my bags and march into the sunset leaving you to make what you will of the critique. I am always available for e-mail /phone brainstorming and follow up. And that's important. I wrote the critique and I should be there to guide you through any changes you make.
I have worked in this capacity since 1984, and was one of the first two consultants to go WWW, so I did not jump on the bandwagon when consultants started popping up everywhere. Writing is my passion and I've been helping writers for nineteen years; I'm serious about my work, and serious about helping you reach your goal.
I look forward to hearing from you.
